SheKnows Media Goes on the Road to Honor Women Content Creators across the U.S. Leading Up to #BlogHer15: Experts Among Us in July in NYC


SheKnows Media, the number-one women's lifestyle digital media company1 with 81.5 million unique visitors per month2 and 162 million social media fans and followers, today announced that it is hosting five community meet-ups over the course of the next two months in cities across the United States to celebrate women content creators.

These community meet-ups in advance of #BlogHer15: Experts Among Us, the world's largest celebration of women content creators taking place July 16-18 at the Hilton New York, will be hosted in connection with Listen To Your Mother shows in the following cities:

  • Brooklyn, New York on April 8
  • Atlanta on April 24
  • Chicago on May 3
  • San Francisco on May 8
  • Boston on May 9

Listen To Your Mother - sponsored in part by SheKnows Media - is a series of live, nationally recognized storytelling shows in 39 cities that feature readings by local writers on mothers and motherhood in the weeks leading up to Mother's Day on May 10. Guests who attend the SheKnows Media community meet-ups proceeding or following Listen To Your Mother shows will enjoy an interactive, fiesta-themed experience, where SheKnows "Experts" will be on hand to share how to use traditional and unique ingredients to make the perfect margarita and mojito, guacamole dip, stuffed tamale or street taco.

The DIY theme at each community meet-up is a nod to Experts Among Us, SheKnows Media's leading influencer platform. It's also the theme of #BlogHer15: Experts Among Us. Now in its 11th year, #BlogHer15: Experts Among Us seeks to inspire and empower women to express themselves and their unique points of view through content creation. More than 3,500 content creators, social media influencers, entrepreneurs, brand executives and industry luminaries are expected to attend this year's event, co-produced for the first time by SheKnows Media and BlogHer.

About Listen To Your Mother

Listen To Your Mother (LTYM) aims to support motherhood creatively through artistic expression, and also financially-through contributions to non-profit organizations supporting families in need. LTYM shows are held in 39 cities across the county (from Maine to California) in honor of Mother's Day, with the national organization mentoring over 100 women to produce the series. Performances are published on the LTYM video channel where over 1,000 humorous and poignant stories on all aspects of contemporary motherhood are streamed, and LTYM's first anthology will be published by Putnam Books in April 2015.
