Selectica and Huron Consulting Group Partner to Support Susan G. Komen for the Cure®
Selectica (News - Alert) donates Contract Performance Management Software together with implementation from Huron Consulting Group Susan G. Komen for the Cure’s Legal department.
SAN JOSE, CA (News - Alert) – January 8, 2009 – Selectica (NASDAQ: SLTC), a leading provider of contract lifecycle management (CLM) solutions, today announced the donation of a perpetual license for its Contract Performance Management (CPM) solution to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and that Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of financial and operational consulting services, will donate services to design and document system and business requirements for implementation..
Komen maintains cause-related marketing relationships with multiple manufacturers and service providers who donate a portion of their profits to fight breast cancer. The donations from Selectica and Huron enable Komen for the Cure’s legal team to automate all of its contract processes, including sponsorship agreements, vendor agreements, and donation agreements with third parties, which previously were handled manually using spreadsheets and databases.
“Adding contract management to our operations not only will streamline the operations to lower costs but also will speed new sponsorship deals, which means we will be able to funnel donations more quickly into important research to find the cures for breast cancer,” said Jonathan Blum, associate general counsel for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. “Technology is leading the way in helping us make our fund-raising efforts more efficient and in finding new approaches to detect, treat, and cure breast cancer. This is an extremely generous donation from Selectica and Huron, and we are very appreciative.”
Centralizing its contract management processes using CLM software also will create greater transparency into contract agreements, making it easier to standardize terms and language for contracts with vendors, sponsors, and grant recipients. It also will assist in eliminating errors, improve contract tracking, and simplify regulatory compliance.
