Sedona Selected by CableLabs® to Demonstrate Multilayer Network Optimization at its Winter Conference Innovation Showcase

Sedona Systems, the global leader in Multilayer IP-Optical network control and optimization, today announced its selection as one of only nine companies to present at the Innovation Showcase demonstration at the CableLabs (News - Alert) Winter Conference. The conference is a private, invitation-only event attended by CableLabs cable operator members and vendors.

Sedona demonstrated its NetFusion product, the first control platform that converges network layers, automatically discovering multivendor topology and traffic for both optical and IP/MPLS layers, as well as the cross-layer connections between them. This allows network operators to create and deploy new services more rapidly and to significantly reduce capital and operational costs through more efficient use of their networks.

The showcase, held on February 6-7, 2017, is a premium opportunity for a select few companies to present live demonstrations of working technology for products and services enabled by cable's broadband networks. The audience is comprised of both CableLabs service provider members and exhibiting vendors.

"We are thrilled to have been chosen by CableLabs from hundreds of applicants to showcase our NetFusion software platform," said Yossi Wllingstein, Co-founder and CEO of Sedona. "For too long, cable operators have been held back by siloed IP and optical networks that are inefficient, inflexible, and expensive. NetFusion smashes this operating paradigm and opens up a new era of coordinated multilayer networking that is much less expensive and supports rapid service creation and deployment."

About Sedona

Sedona Systems has created NetFusion, the first multi-layer application platform, focusing on optimization & control of the optical and IP layers (L0-L3) of network operators. Enabling both optically aware IP routing and IP-informed optical switching, our applications double effective WAN capacity, boost agility, availability and flexibility - and save up to 80% of core network costs over 5 years.

Based on centralized open-source software tools, NetFusion connects to all major vendors' equipment through SDN controllers or management systems. It then optimizes key tasks through dynamic, automatic management of both optical and IP resources.
