Schematic and Zodiac Gaming Partner, Offer Immediate Opportunity to Increase Average Revenue Per Cable Subscriber

Schematic, the full service interactive agency, and Zodiac Gaming, a leading cable systems integrator, developer, publisher and distributor of games via digital set-top boxes, announced today a partnership to deliver next-generation features to cable set-top boxes. Leveraging Schematic's award-winning User Interface design and Zodiac's superior graphics, sound and integration engine, the partnership provides cable operators the opportunity to enhance the capabilities and features available on their current install base of set-top boxes, immediately increasing the average revenue per cable subscriber.

The new partnership combines Schematic and Zodiac's expertise to deliver super user experience and interface via better animation, transitions and overlays, a richer color palette and alpha channels. Zodiac's enhanced graphics engine pushes the capabilities of current set-top boxes allowing Schematic to implement next-generation User Interface design to the receivers that are already in digital cable customers' homes. The result is more dynamic video-on-demand, games-on-demand, channel guides and on-screen services and support.
The two companies have collaborated in the past for Cablevision Systems Corp. on the multiple Emmy award-winning iO: Interactive Optimum(R) digital cable service. As of March 2006, "more than 2 million iO customers, two-thirds of Cablevision's cable customers, are iO digital cable customers, the highest digital penetration in the nation." In the company's "fourth quarter and full year 2005 results," Cablevision announced "Cable Television Average RPS of $100.46, up $3.77 or 3.9% for the quarter and $12.13 or 13.7% for the year."
