ScaleArc Joins Rackspace Marketplace to Bring Database Traffic Management to the Cloud

ScaleArc today announced that its database traffic management software is now available on the Marketplace for Rackspace® Hosting, (NYSE: RAX), the open cloud company. Rackspace (News - Alert) hybrid cloud customers can now choose either ScaleArc for SQL Server or ScaleArc for MySQL to increase the availability, performance, and scalability of business-critical applications without modifying either the applications or databases.

ScaleArc's patented software deploys transparently in a cloud or hybrid cloud infrastructure between the application and the database tier, optimizing SQL query flows. The software provides high-availability features, including zero-downtime patching and maintenance, as well as traffic management and offload capabilities that enable up to 24x scalability of database transactions.
