SAP Hungary boosts revenue 27.3pc in 2005

(Hungarian News Agency Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)Budapest, January 26, 2006 (MTI-ECONEWS) - SAP Hungary, the Hungarian unit of Germany's SAP, a leading maker of software that integrates businesses' back office functions, boosted its revenue by 27.3pc to HUF 9.385bn in 2005, in spite of the intense competition, SAP Hungary announced on Thursday.



SAP Hungary's operating profit increased 31.7pc to HUF 585.942m in 2005.

Software sales accounted for HUF 1.751bn of revenue, up 8.6pc. And revenue from services increased 37.9pc to HUF 3.379bn.



Tamas Vahl, SAP Hungary's managing director, noted that SAP set up its tenth reseach and development centre last year, in Hungary.
