BETHESDA, Md., March 31, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- SANS Institute, the global leader in information security training, today announced SANS Instructor and NetWars CyberCity Director, Ed Skoudis, has been inducted into the Military Cyber Professionals Association's Order of Thor.  This prestigious award was presented to Mr. Skoudis by Col. Gregory Conti, Army Cyber Institute director in honor of Mr. Skoudis' contributions in preparing the next generation of military cyber professionals.

During the award presentation on March 25th, Col. Gregory Conti commended Mr. Skoudis for his support for West Point, its cadets, the Army, and Mr. Skoudis' involvement with the training of a large number of Cyber Warriors over the past 15 years. The award cites Mr. Skoudis' significant contributions to the community of military cyber professionals.

The prestigious Order of Thor Medal recognizes great service and contributions in the American military cyber community. Being inducted into the Order of Thor is a recognition of mebers of the military community that have made considerable contributions and embody the Military Cyber Professionals Association's (MCPA) values of loyalty, duty, and excellence. Inductees are presented a medal symbolizing the appreciation on behalf of the American military cyber profession.
