Samsung Launches New Dual SIM Phone Chat 322

Feb 01, 2011 (Daily Independent/All Africa Global Media via COMTEX) -- Electronic giant, Samsung Electronics West Africa, which has been in the forefront of digital technology through the development of new products, has come up with a new phone device called the Samsung Ch@t 322. The product was launched into the Nigerian market in Lagos at the Silverbird Galleria at the weekend.

The Samsung Ch@t 322 is the first ever Samsung handset that offers a combination of dual-SIM functionality and the full QWERTY keypad for a comprehensive and convenient all-round user experience.

Speaking at the occasion, the Director, Hand Held Products (HHP), Samsung Electronics, Mr. Fady Khatib, stated that the new Samsung Ch@t 322 mobile phone remained the ideal solution for users seeking a device to balance both their social and work life.

According to him, "it is a mobile phone that delivers ultimate convenience for users on the go. Be it business or pleasure, the dual SIM phone allows for an incredibly user- friendly experience as a result of its intuitive interface. With the Samsung Ch@t 322, users can manage all aspects of their life." He further explained that the Samsung Ch@t 322 DUOS (Dual Sim) phone, offers the user a good level of flexibility. A dedicated key offers access to either SIM card giving the user access to two separate phone numbers on the same device, thereby allowing users make calls within optimal call plans or coverage available.

Khatib stressed that the innovative optical track-pad works in tandem with the QWERTY keyboard for the convenience of users. He said using the features on the phone is quick and easy with shortcuts on the QWERTY keyboard. These include quick menu access, shortcuts built in to ease the typing process, and simplified web and e-mail input which sometimes presents challenges in phone usage.

He added that users can keep a tab on their social life, as the device offers shortcuts to their favourite social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter with a range of multimedia options. These are available on the Smart Home screen, allowing users to be instantly and conveniently connected with their social groups. The home screen also has a dedicated facebook link to the Samsung mobile Nigeria facebook page, while the 'smart home' toolbar allows automatic updates on sites visited, mails received and chats.

The pre-installed instant messengers such as MSN, Yahoo, and Google talk enable users to chat with their buddies at anytime, anywhere. With bluetooth messenger, users can enjoy chatting for free even as the auto pull e-mail feature offers a push-like email experience, removing the need for users to frequently check their e-mails.

He said, the enhanced interface and DUOS UX allows the user to assign tasks on their home screen for easy and quick access to the information and functions needed. The device is also equipped with a 1.3 Megapixel camera while the USB 2.0 connection enables fast file transfers between devices.
