Runge Group Chooses V.i. Labs' CodeArmor to Protect Its Software Intellectual Property in Emerging Markets
WALTHAM, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- V.i. Laboratories, Inc. ("V.i. Labs"), a provider of software protection solutions for securing high-value and mission-critical applications, announced that Australian-based Runge Group has selected CodeArmor(TM) to protect its software solutions from piracy and code theft.
The Runge Group is a leader in the provision of technology and services to the global mining industry. The Group is recognized as a thought leader providing services for mines worldwide from start up to production including feasibility studies, due diligence and valuation, mine planning and scheduling, mine optimisation, business systems and software solutions.
Runge's high-value software applications are increasingly being sold into countries where software intellectual property (IP) laws and enforcement are weak. It wanted to protect the integrity of its licensing system to deter piracy and prevent the theft of its IP contained in the product codebase by protecting it from being decompiled by malicious third parties.
