Rosalind Rawls named to national board [Jackson Advocate]


(Jackson Advocate Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The National Association of Commissions for Women named Mississippian Rosalind Rawls (pictured) to its Board of Directors at its recent annual meeting. Rawls is executive director of the Mississippi Commission on the Status of Women. She will serve a two-year term on the board. Other board members include: Jill Ashton of Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women, Janice Coakley of Miami Gardens (FL) Commission for Women, Romona Fullman of Delaware Commission for Women, Lesley Guthrie of Texas Governor's Commission on Women, Tara Martinez of West Virginia Women's Commission and Dianne Mills McKay of Burlington Co. (NJ) Advisory Council on Women. Elected for a one-year term are: Sawrie Becker of Erie Co. (NY) Commission on the Status of Women, Suzanne Doty of Santa Clara Co. (CA) Commission for Women, and Bernice Mitchell of Oklahoma Commission for Women. Remaining on the board for the second year of their two-year term are: Phyllis Gordon of Contra Costa Co. (CA) Commission for Women, Carmille Lim of the Hawaii Commission on the Status of Women, and Judith Vaughan-Prather of the Maryland Commission on the Status of Women.
