Thompson, CEO and Managing Director, and Tom Gorup, Security Operations Center Manager, will be featured speakers at the 2014 (ISC)2 Security Congress. The conference takes place September 29-October 2, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

(ISC)² Security Congress 2014 offers attendees over 80 education sessions, designed to transcend all industry sectors, focus on current and emerging issues, best practices, and challenges facing cybersecurity leaders. As cyber threats and attacks continue to rise, the goal of (ISC)² Security Congress is to strengthen cybersecurity defenders by arming them with the knowledge, tools, and expertise to protect their organizations.

Thompson, who is also the President of the (ISC)² Indianapolis chapter, will present "Challenges for Next-Generation Security Operations Metrics and Management" on Monday, September 29 from 1:45-3:00 p.m. ET. The panel will discuss the changes facing security operations departments and how to efficiently track and report usable metrics. Thompson will be co-presenting with Brandon Dunlap, Director of Research for Brightfly Consulting and Ryan Hammer, Adjunct Faculty at Purdue University (News - Alert).

Gorup will present on September 30 from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. ET in a session titled, "Leverage your SOC to Detect Use of IaaS/PaaS/SaaS". Gorup will discuss the methods and security controls used to identify, monitor, and control data in a cloud infrastructure.
