Research and Markets Adds Report: Chile - Mobile Market - Overview, Statistics and Forecasts - 2012Nov 15, 2012 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Research and Markets has announced the addition of the "Chile - Mobile Market - Overview, Statistics and Forecasts" report to its offerings. In a release, Research and Markets noted that report highlights include: Chile's mobile penetration is one of the highest in Latin America, but lags behind Panama, Uruguay, and Argentina. Three major mobile companies serve the Chilean market: Almendral's Entel, Telefonica's Movistar, and America Movil's Claro. Competition is heating up in Chile. Having each won a block of spectrum, Entel, Movistar, and Claro are required to launch an LTE network by mid-2013. Smartphone sales are soaring in Chile, driven by the popularity of social media and improved 3G coverage - as well as diminishing prices and a wider range of devices.
