Renowned Rehabilitation Expert and Speaker Dr. George Davies to Deliver Keynote Address at Cross Country Education's 2015 Rehab Summit

Cross Country Education today announced Dr. George Davies will deliver the keynote speech for its 2015 Rehab Summit, taking place July 23 - 25th in Orlando, Florida. Dr. Davies is a world-renowned educator, speaker and considered a leading clinician and pioneer in the field of rehabilitation and physical medicine. Dr. Davies is among many others on the Summit's impressive agenda.

Attendees can expect to learn about Dr. Davies' groundbreaking approach to the treatment and rehabilitation of patients and athletes suffering from shoulder injuries - one of the most common injuries affecting Americans today. Dr. Davies has spent more than 50 years practicing physical therapy and athletic training, and has sought a more regimented method to the treatment of shoulder injuries. His keynote address will present his proprietary functional testing lgorithm, the only of its kind to deliver objective, evidence-based criteria for clinical decision-making after a shoulder injury.

"The reality is, many practitioners make decisions every day to return patients to activity based on very little evidence," says Dr. Davies. "The functional testing algorithm I have developed provides practitioners specific criteria that would stand up to critical peer review, high levels of evidence to support their clinical decision-making, and Medico-legal critical analysis."

Dr. Davies has presented at hundreds of conferences worldwide on sports physical therapy, athletic training, shoulder, knee, open and closed kinetic chain topics, orthopedics, rehabilitation, and Isokinetics. He has published over 200 articles and research abstracts, written several books, and contributed chapters to more than 45 books. Dr. Davies served as the President of the Sports Physical Therapy Section, and was co-founder and co-editor of The Journal of Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy (JOSPT).
