RelayHealth ICD-10 Testing Yields Industry-Leading Acceptance Rates, Claims and Remittance VolumesRelayHealth® Financial today announced that its ICD-10 testing program has resulted in industry-leading claim and remittance volumes, and acceptance rates far above industry norms for both acknowledgement and end-to-end testing. Since launching the program in 2013, RelayHealth has received over 75,000 ICD-10 coded claims from healthcare providers, and more than 12,000 remittances from payers - far more than any other revenue cycle solution provider or clearinghouse. In June the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that testers from 2,600 participating providers, suppliers, and clearinghouses submitted 127,000 claims. Of those, RelayHealth alone submitted 20,364 claims in the nationwide test. During the most recent week of CMS end-to-end testing (January 26-30, 2015), RelayHealth alone successfully submitted nearly 900 ICD-10 claims. "Acknowledgement testing and end-to-end testing of ICD-10 claims are important, and are an example of RelayHealth's commitment to helping customers get through this transition as painlessly and cost-effectively as possible," says RelayHealth Financial ICD-10 Lead Joshua Berman. "But time is running short, and those who haven't yet tested need to do so now. There are many other processes beyond testing that require attention before the 'go-live' date of October 1st." RelayHealth has long been an advocate for true end-to-end ICD-10 testing, in which a claim follows the same door-to-door, round-trip path that it does in a live production environment. In RelayHealth's end-to-end testing, customers' electronic ICD-10 test claims are sent to the payers that are part of the RelayHealth testing program and if the payer supplies an 835, it is routed back via RelayHealth, and returned to the provider.
