Rasmussen College Hosts Third-Annual Virtual Career Fair

Rasmussen College, a regionally accredited private college, is hosting its third-annual Virtual Career Fair on Oct. 29 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. CST. Students, alumni and community members alike can network and discuss qualifications and open positions with more than 100 leading employers nationwide through live chat or video.

The free, online event was created for busy students, alumni and community members who typically cannot attend in-person career fairs. Participants may log in and out of the digital platform on their own time and from anywhere-including the comfort of their home or office. Job seekers also have the opportunity to attend mini preparatory, career-focused workshops and interact directly with the College's Career Services team, who will be on-hand during the event to virtually answer questions and provide career advice.

"Rasmussen College is dedicated to preparing students for success in the ever-changing digital economy and competitive job market," says Lamont Allen, assistant vice president of student affairs and career services at Rasmussen College. "The virtual career fair allows candidates to engage employers in an environment that is friendly, and efficient yet convenient enough to fit ino their busy lifestyle."

Recruiting and hiring managers' roles are greatly influenced by technology and require virtual engagement in this economy. Job seekers must be prepared to engage virtually and use technology to compete in today's job market. The Virtual Career Fair helps participants grow in this area by allowing them to:

  • Network with local, regional and national companies across a variety of industries.
  • Engage in direct, individual conversations with hiring managers.
