RAD to Introduce End-to-End SIP VoIP System at IBM Global Technology Road Show in Moscow
MOSCOW, October 28 /PRNewswire/ -- RAD Data Communications is introducing the company's end-to-end SIP VoIP
System at the "Israeli High-Tech Companies Telco Road Show in Russia",
organized by IBM's Global Technology Unit (GTU).
The event will be held in Moscow October 28 and 29. The first day will be
an internal business session with IBM Russia, while the second day will be a
business session with Russian customers. Seven companies have been selected
to participate.
At the event, the General Manager of RAD Russia, Vasily Grudev, and the
company's Senior Sales Manager, Shimon Mezi, will introduce participants to
RVS, RAD's end-to-end SIP VoIP System. Designed for service providers, RVS
enables a rapid rollout of VoIP services to business and residential
customers with a low initial investment for generating fast return on
investment (ROI). Subscribers benefit from cost-cutting IP telephony without
having to replace existing telephony equipment. A highly scalable solution,
RVS enables providers of all sizes to start with a small subscriber base and
"pay-as-you-grow".
Ensures Low Total Cost of Ownership
Engineered for superior voice quality and call integrity, RVS is
comprised of RAD's Class 5 SIP softswitch, with built-in provisioning and
management, and customer premises VoIP gateways. A unique intelligent central
management and provisioning system keeps operating expenses (Opex) to a
minimum, ensuring a low total cost of ownership (TCO).
Interoperable with IBM Equipment
"RAD's RVS is completely compatible with IBM equipment," states Mezi.
"RAD has an established track record of interoperability with IBM," he adds.
RADview-EMS, for example, RAD's carrier-class, modular, client-server,
scalable element management system, has been validated as Ready for IBM
Tivoli Software," Mezi notes. "This validation is an indication that
RADview-EMS is integrated with IBM's Tivoli Netcool(R)/OMNIbus(TM) software,
which delivers real-time, centralized monitoring of complex networks and IT
domains."
IBM established GTU in Israel at the end of 2001 as a corporate
initiative to promote worldwide business for IBM with Israeli-based
technology companies. Since that time GTU has established itself as the
crossroads between IBM and the Israeli high-tech industry, enabling
Israel-based high-tech companies interested in conducting business and
cooperating with IBM worldwide to receive local support together with
international sales assistance.
At the same time, GTU has become recognized within IBM as the driver
behind new worldwide opportunities for IBM with the Israeli high-tech sector.
GTU's mission is to evaluate and develop a new generation of partners for IBM
whose innovative solutions incorporate IBM products and services, thus
ensuring a strong value proposition for both IBM and the partner in joint
sales initiatives.
