Quinbrook Strengthens Houston Team with New Hires


Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners ("Quinbrook"), a specialist global investment manager that is focused exclusively on lower carbon and renewable energy infrastructure investment and operational asset management in the US, the UK and Australia, today announced three new appointments to their Houston based investment team. The new team members will strengthen and increase the broader Quinbrook team's origination, deal execution and asset management capabilities.

Hank Jones has been appointed to the role of Managing Director. Hank is an energy industry veteran with over 33 years of experience in building and managing wholesale energy trading, power marketing, asset optimization and logistics businesses for public and private companies in both North America and Europe. Hank joins Quinbrook from Dynegy Inc., where he was Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer responsible for the commercial optimization of 26 GW of power generation assets diversified across multiple US states. Hank managed the fundamental market analysis team at Dynegy, responsible for all wholesale market-facing activities including energy hedging, fuel procurement and logistics, asset management and capacity sales negotiations. Prior to Dynegy, Hank was Head of North American Power & Gas Sales, Trading and Origination at Deutsche Bank and was formerly the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Trading for EDF Trading North America.

William Blake joins Quinbrook as Vice President in the Houston office with over 5 years of experience in renewable and conventional energy investment, project development and M&A. Prior to Quinbrook, William was an Associate at Denham Capital in London where he was responsible for financial modelling, execution and monitoring of Denham Capital's international power investments. William was formerly an Analyst in the Global Energy & Power Investment Banking Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in New York.

Dennis Mou also joins Quinbrook as Associate from EDP Renewables in Houston where he has spent the past two years undertaking the financial analysis and evaluation of EDP's US wind and solar projects. He specializes in financial modelling, risk/return sensitivity assessment and critical evaluation of a variety of complex tax equity structures, partnership arrangements and commercial due diligence. Dennis has developed and enhanced training protocols for detailed financial analyses and prior to EDP he collaborated with the Rice University, Houston, to develop online courses on business statistics and analytics.
