MINNEAPOLIS, June 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Questar Assessment Inc. announced today that it has become a contributing member of the IMS Global Learning Consortium. The Minneapolis, Minnesota-based K–12 assessment provider was previously an affiliate member but decided to become more deeply involved to better support the consortium's mission of advancing technology that can affordably scale and improve educational participation and attainment. With its focus on providing a bridge between accountability and student learning for states and school districts, Questar Assessment was one of the first companies in the educational assessment industry to have applied for and been awarded the Accessible Portable Item Protocol® (APIP®) v1 Content Package Conformance and APIP v1 Delivery Conformance certifications by the IMS Global Learning Consortium.

As a contributing member of IMS Global, Questar Assessment gains a seat on the newly formed IMS Executive Board on Assessment (EBA), a group of industry executives committed to creating a highly interoperable end-to-end assessment architecture needed to enable online testing innovation and worldwide growth. Keith Koch, Chief Technology Officer for Questar Assessment, will serve on the EBA.
