QualVu Releases VuPoint Analytics Portal Designed for Video-Based Qualitative Research
Nov 07, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
QualVu, Inc., a developer of online video-based qualitative feedback solutions, announced the latest release of its VuPoint platform.
VuPoint is an analytics portal designed to manage and organize video-based qualitative output that is generated through either online or offline methods.
QualVu's web-based video platform allows clients to harness the power of the Internet and webcam technology via an entirely new method delivering qualitative insights. QualVu said its solution encompasses three phases: data collection, organizing the video-based content and creating online reports with video highlights.
Video output gathered through QualVu's suite of solutions - VideoDiary, VideoDiary Blog and VideoSurvey - is made available to clients through VuPoint, where the data is managed and organized by proprietary technology and workflow processes. Video data is instantly transcribed, analyzed and organized into video highlight reels and playlists, which are then integrated into online reports infused with voice-of-the-consumer richness. VuPoint also processes video data output such as DVD recordings from traditional focus groups.
"In order to maintain a competitive advantage, businesses need extreme efficiencies in speed and cost, requiring them to seek ways to collect qualitative data faster, disseminate findings that are engaging and accurate, and make better business decisions," said John Williamson, QualVu CEO. "Couple that with this tough economic climate, and we feel QualVu is at the right place at the right time."
QualVu's suite of video research solutions includes:
VideoDiary: An online platform purpose-built for video-based qualitative research; allows for participant-driven interaction, where consumers and professionals can respond at leisure from the comfort of their home or office, or even on-the-go using handheld webcams; can be localized in a dozen languages (global reach).
VideoDiary Blog: A tool that allows consumers to tell their story in a blog environment - specifically designed for qualitative research and built on the VideoDiary platform; researchers post assignments using video, images and text, and participants respond by posting replies within their personal blog including video answers via webcam, text diary input or image uploads.
VideoSurvey: A plug-in for any online survey environment that automatically determines which respondents have webcams, while confirming their technical profile; with a simple click of the mouse, survey respondents are on camera providing rich verbal and visual feedback; produces qualitative insights to support quantitative survey data.
VuPoint: A video research analysis application that provides QualVu customers with a "view" into the research results, including the ability to watch participant video as it is submitted; allows for collaboration among stakeholders, and the power to instantly create video highlight reels and generate online reports.
Online Panels: Custom-built webcam panels, managed by QualVu, for those organizations that want to have continuous, instant access and dialogue with their customers, prospects or stakeholders.
