QED Connect Wins Information Security Contract With Living Classrooms Foundation's Carmelo Anthony Youth Development Center

(Market Wire Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) NASHUA, NH, September 10 / MARKET WIRE/ --

QED Connect, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: QEDC), an
innovative managed services provider for the information security market,
has won a contract with the Living Classrooms Foundation to implement its
flagship Omni Manager suite of hosted services. Omni Manager has been
installed on PCs in the nonprofit organization's Carmelo Anthony Youth
Development Center, a 22,000-square-foot facility partially funded by the
NBA star to provide educational and social programs for community youth.
Omni Manager enables the Center to filter, monitor and report on student
Internet use from a central, web-based management console at any time of
day. Blocking and filtering is fully customizable and backed by QED's
database of over 30 million categorized threats.

"QED's Omni Manager has really helped us protect our children from the
'dark corners' of the Internet," said Mike Meakes, Director of IT for the
Living Classrooms Foundation. "It allows our program coordinators to see
exactly what the computers are being used for, so we can prevent Internet
abuse and keep our children safe. We are very pleased with the overall
functionality, simplicity of use and price point. QED is really leading the
way in making enterprise security technologies available to nonprofits,
which is critical to youth-focused centric organizations like ours. We
anticipate implementing Omni Manager on the remainder of our computers in
the coming months."

Omni Manager combines critical security functions into a value-driven,
all-in-one hosted service that is delivered over the Internet. There is no
equipment to install, and no additional software or maintenance required.
Omni Manager is up and running in minutes, so users can immediately begin
monitoring and enforcing organizational security and acceptable use
policies in real time.

"Nonprofit organizations face even greater challenges than businesses when
it comes to information security-related issues such as employee
productivity, asset protection, and maximization of IT staff resources,"
said Tom Makmann, chairman and CEO, QED Connect. "They need access to
comprehensive security solutions, which have been cost-prohibitive for most
to implement until now. Our managed services are the first to fit into
nonprofit budgets without sacrificing enterprise features and performance."
