Products That Give Back Beautifully

WEST CHESTER, Pa., April 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- A little makeup can make a difference in more ways than one. For the third consecutive year, QVC and Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) are joining forces for "QVC and CEW Present Beauty with Benefits," a two-hour live charitable broadcast that will provide shoppers with a special opportunity to feel beautiful while giving back. Scheduled to air on QVC Wednesday, April 15 at 10 PM (ET), the broadcast offers prestige beauty brands with 80 percent of the purchase price* of donated merchandise benefitting Cancer and Careers, a charitable program of the CEW Foundation.

Longtime friends model and entrepreneur Cindy Crawford and makeup artist and entrepreneur Sonia Kashuk appeared in print and television public service announcements for "QVC and CEW Present Beauty with Benefits," scheduled to air on QVC Wednesday, April 15 at 10 PM (ET).

Beauty buffs can tune in to QVC for a wide range of products including color cosmetics, fragrance, skin care and hair care from brands including Laura Mercier, Clinique, Fresh, Shiseido, bareMinerals, Josie Maran, philosophy and many more. As an added bonus, each shopper will receive a gift with purchase which features five deluxe samples from participating brands in a Sonia Kashuk-designed cosmetic bag created especially for "Beautywith Benefits."

Cancer and Careers empowers, educates and provides essential tools to people with cancer so that they can thrive in the workplace. Throughout the evening, inspiring segments will showcase those who have benefitted from the many resources provided by Cancers and Careers. Viewers will be shown the impact that each purchase can make on the lives of those affected by cancer, and industry experts will share beauty tips and tricks that are guaranteed to leave everyone feeling beautiful.

"QVC is dedicated to supporting our ongoing commitment to promote the success and wellness of women through the power of relationships," said Ken O'Brien, senior vice president of merchandising for QVC. "Teaming up with CEW once again this year for 'Beauty with Benefits' will help us inspire viewers to positively impact lives across the country through Cancer and Careers."

In support of the broadcast, QVC also launched a social campaign with the theme of "Better Together." This simple but powerful phrase reinforces the collective goal of "Beauty with Benefits," which is to bring people, products and expertise together to make life better for cancer survivors on the job. QVC viewers, with or without a direct connection to cancer, will be encouraged to post about someone who makes life better for them, whether it is a friend, colleague, parent, teacher, doctor, grandparent, etc. Using the hashtag #BeautywithBenefits, viewers can share who they are better together with. The social campaign will be promoted across social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, QVC Community and Google+.

To help raise awareness for "Beauty with Benefits," longtime friends model and entrepreneur Cindy Crawford and makeup artist and entrepreneur Sonia Kashuk united their passions for beauty and appeared in both the print and television public service announcements for the broadcast.
