Primitive Logic Launches Infrastructure Services Practice and Appoints Lorenzo P. Maya Jr. as Its Vice President

SAN FRANCISCO --(Business Wire)-- Primitive Logic, a leading employee-owned business consulting and technology services firm, today announced the launch of its infrastructure services practice and the appointment of Lorenzo P. Maya Jr. (Larry Maya) to lead the practice as vice president, infrastructure services.

Primitive Logic's infrastructure services practice, built on ITIL framework, will focus on three main areas that include transformation services (IT consolidation, migration and shared services); maintenance services (break/fix); and managed services (hosting and outsourcing). The service components include network services; voice and data communications; data and call center services; distributed systems (desktop, laptop and servers); infrastructure virtualization; telecommunications contract negotiations; billing and audit recovery; risk mitigation focused on network and information security, disaster recovery and business continuity.

"Primitive Logic's new infrastructure services practice extends and complements our expertise in business consulting and technology services for complex enterprise initiatives such as service-oriented architecture and application virtualization," said Robert C. Hamer III (Bob Hamer), chairman and CEO of Primitive Logic. "I am delighted to appoint Larry Maya to lead this new practice because of his technical and managerial expertise, his experience in launching and growing infrastructure practices in the vertical markets that we service, and my long association with him in the industry."

Larry Maya's 30-year career encompasses all aspects of infrastructure services at start-ups and at large corporations as a client of infrastructure services and as a service provider. He is Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certified and has extensive experience in launching and building infrastructure service organizations that grew to more than 100 employees with operating budgets of up to $30 million in three years. Larry has also gained recognition for being able to identify cost savings opportunities that have resulted in multi-million dollar bottom-line savings. As a vice president of telecommunications at a major mortgage company, Maya was a client of Primitive Logic.

"I am delighted and proud to again work with Bob Hamer and Primitive Logic in a new capacity and to again have the opportunity to launch and grow an infrastructure services practice," said Larry Maya. "As a client of Primitive Logic, I was continually impressed with the company's integrity and its ability to deliver business value accurately, on time and on budget in short increments of 30 to 60 days. Primitive Logic is in a class of excellence all its own, and I look forward to extending its reach and its excellence in the infrastructure services space."

With the launch of its infrastructure services practice, Primitive Logic is now able to directly provide comprehensive enterprise business consulting and technology services for all aspects of enterprise computing, which include service-oriented architecture; application virtualization; and building, installing and configuring enterprise applications.
