Prattville police have cell phone snatcher suspect in custody [Montgomery Advertiser, Ala.](Montgomery Advertiser (AL) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Sept. 30--The Prattville Police Department has one man in custody in connection to a recent cell-phone snatching. Investigators announced Tuesday that the subject in the video of the snatching saw himself on television and turned himself in to authorities. Police have not formally charged him with a crime at this time. The subject is accused of stealing a $700 cell phone after the victim placed her phone down and left the store after using the self-check out line, according to Tony Garrett, director of CrimeStoppers. Once she realized her phone was missing, she went back to the register to find it, Garrett said. "Video captured an unknown male, wearing a suit, pick the phone up and then walk away with it. The victim advised that when she went back, she spoke with a male fitting the suspect's description," Garrett said. The victim said the man told her a woman had stolen her phone and he would walk to the parking lot to find her. He never returned, Garrett said. This may help in case fraudulent charges show up on your account by the criminal. 6.Install anti phone theft software (Family locate services) Software locates your phone when lost. 7.
