Powerlytics Improves Marketing and Customer Service Predictors for Top-5 Investment Manager


One of the largest asset managers in the U.S. now relies on Powerlytics data to improve its marketing, sales, and customer service efforts. Under the deal, Powerlytics will provide data that augments and sharpens the asset manager's existing retail benchmarks, share of wallet, and customer segmentation models.

Customer Segmentation: Investors' needs change depending on their level of wealth and their stage in life. The moderate saver and the ultra-rich have different priorities and goals. Powerlytics data can segment customers according to income and investible assets; whether income is derived from work or non-work sources; employment status such as retired, freelancer business owner, or employee; whether the investor is paying tuition for a child or taking a student loan interest deduction; and home ownership or mortgage status.



Retail Benchmarking: When prospective investors make inbound inquiries, the asset manager can quickly and accurately estimate their income and investable assets, then route their call to the appropriate department, be it high net worth personal banking or kitchen table investors.

Profitable Customer Identification: Using its own data, the asset manager can create a profile of its most profitable customers, and then use Powerlytics data to identify granular geographic areas where more of those customer types are likely to be.
