Police Rescue Two Kidnapped School Children


Asaba, Oct 29, 2009 (Vanguard/All Africa Global Media via COMTEX) -- MEN of Delta State Police Command have successfully rescued two school children kidnapped in Anambra State.

State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Charles Muka, told reporters that "on 24th of October, 2009, at about 1100 hours, the police at Okpanam nipping point stopped one white Jeep, registration number unknown and noticed that there were two boys crying and knocking on the glasses of the Jeep.



"The policemen, on noticing the two boys ordered them to come down from the vehicle and in the process of finding out what happened, the driver of the Jeep drove off.

"The two boys, namely Ebuka Uzoalor, male, 13 years and Tochukwu Okpallaugo, male, 13 years, stated that on same date at about 0900hours at Nkpor, Anambra State, as they were waiting for a vehicle to take them to Ukpo, the Jeep with six occupants stopped and forced them into the vehicle.


"They further stated that they went to Nkpor to see their brother and that the kidnappers met them as they were waiting for vehicle on their way back to Ukpo."
