Karachi, Apr 14, 2009 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) -- The police department is making special arrangements to provide security in industrial areas. This was stated by DIG East Zone Zafar Abbas Bukhari here on Monday.

Addressing to the members of the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), DIG East announced to restructure Madadgaar 15 into Rapid Response Force Police (RRP) for industrial areas.

He said that RRP is being upgraded with latest wireless and satellite system. He informed that Karachi police will soon be receiving 170 vehicles from the government to improve patrolling in the city and these would be distributed to all the areas of the city.

He further said that if any of the staff from local police station would be found in misbehaviour with the complainant, would be punished under the law.

He said that no CBA union would be allowed to create unrest in the areas and if the fake people in the pretext of CBA union would be taken to task. Earlier, the KATI chairman, Main Zahid Hussain in his welcome address pointed out various problems being faced by the industrialists. He said that check posts should be established on all entry and exit points of KIA, police patrol in KIA should be increased, street crimes should be eliminated and thefts of vehicles should be curbed effectively.
