Polaris Wireless Selects Radisys' Award-Winning ATCA Platform to Enhance Wireless Location Systems

For public safety applications, an effective emergency response network must be deployed in record time and provide a reliable path for performance upgradability. Polaris Wireless selected Radisys' ATCA platform to improve scalability and upgradability of its OmniLocate platform for emergency call management (E911) and security applications. The company was able to convert to the Radisys x86 solution in less than six months and reduce its costs significantly. In addition, Polaris Wireless was able to enhance OmniLocate performance threefold using the latest processor technology, enabling valuable time-to-market and cost savings. Radisys' complete platform solution and support for Linux made this rapid transition possible.
