Pivot3® Showcases New Enterprise-Class Platform at ISC West
LAS VEGAS --(Business Wire)--
Pivot3®, Inc., the leading provider of unified storage and compute
appliances, will unveil an enterprise-class Serverless Computing
solution at ISC West, being held March 28-30, 2012 at the Sands
Convention Center. At Booth #2093, conference attendees will receive a
first glimpse at the Pivot3 vSTAC™ Watch Enterprise appliance that
introduces management support for both shared storage and
high-performance servers. With support for VMware vCenter™, the Watch
Enterprise adds a performance and optimization tool that is widely
deployed in mission-critical IT installations. Centralized control and
visibility for both servers and storage simplifies management of
large-scale applications in the government, transportation and gaming
markets where the influence of IT is driving users and resellers towards
common management toolkits.
"We've designed the vSTAC Watch Enterprise for the largest surveillance
installations where users benefit most from a centralized management
structure," said Lee Caswell, Founder and CSO, Pivot3. "Once again, we
are pulling the best technologies from the IT market and re-packaging
them in a form that meets the cost and manageability needs of the
surveillance market. Wha we accomplished with scale-out storage,
virtualization and flash is now being applied to enterprise-class
management tools."
Caswell will moderate a panel discussion titled, "Security + IT: Selling
New Technologies in Traditional IT Infrastructures." The session will
feature panelists with real-world experience in large-scale surveillance
installations. Wayne Hunken from Correctional Services of Canada, which
has installed a comprehensive IP system with more than 7PB of video
storage, will describe the configuration and management considerations
of deploying petabytes of storage with virtual machines from an end user
perspective. Robert Hile of Siemens (News - Alert) Industry Inc. will discuss the
issues faced from an experienced systems integrator point of view, and
Dave Barber from Geutebruck, will describe the unique requirements of
video surveillance applications in enterprise-class environments. The
session will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2012, from 10:15 a.m. to
11:15 a.m.
Pivot3 Serverless Computing will be on display at the company's booth
showcasing the company's certified video management software partners
including Genetec, Milestone and OnSSI. Attendees can also view
integrated demonstrations between Pivot3 and Genetec at booth #21061,
and with Samsung (News - Alert) Techwin America at booth #14063.
