Phoenix Suns and Mercury Announce Exclusive Partnership with IASIS Healthcare; New Multi Specialty Clinic Downtown

Today, the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Mercury and IASIS Healthcare announced an exclusive multi-year partnership that will bring a state-of-the-art Multi Specialty Clinic to downtown Phoenix and designate IASIS Healthcare as the Official Healthcare Partner of the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury.

The new agreement includes the revitalization of what was formerly the Phoenix Suns Athletic Club, located on the southeast corner of the US Airways Center lot. The IASIS Multi Specialty Clinic, scheduled to open later this year, will offer downtown Phoenix residents and employees a first-class facility to address their healthcare needs.

"The establishment of this multi-specialty clinic supports our IASIS Healthcare mission to become the health services provider of choice and to expand access to those health services to communities and populations in need," said Carl Whitmer IASIS Healthcare CEO. "We are honored to partner with such an excellent organization to continue to encourage those we serve to lead healthy lives."

In addition to the Clinic, the agreement includes a number of all-encompassing health awareness programs and community outreach initiatives that will encourage youth involvement in basketball and other recreational activity. This includes an annual 5K race in downtown Phoenix, which will start and end at the new Clinic.

"Like the uns and Mercury, IASIS is dedicated to providing the highest quality of service and is committed to giving back to the community it serves," said Jason Rowley, President of the Phoenix Suns and Mercury. "We are thrilled that this partnership will bring first-class healthcare services to downtown Phoenix, and we look forward to it having a positive impact on our community for many years to come."

The Suns will also introduce "Training Day with Mike Elliott," a unique eight-part series on the Suns television broadcast where Suns strength and conditioning trainer, Mike Elliott, will provide training and fitness tips to fans viewing Suns games at home.

The agreement will also name IASIS Healthcare as the presenting sponsor of the Suns' Golden Grannies dance team. Furthermore, IASIS Healthcare will receive exposure in the Legends Entertainment District and during all Suns and Mercury games, including local television and radio broadcasts, as well as through in-arena signage.
