Peterson Named To Humana Board

August 28, 2008 (FinancialWire) Marissa T. Peterson has been elected to
the board of Humana Inc. (NYSE: HUM) (Current Market Cap: US$7.80 Bil.)
She was formerly executive vice president of worldwide operations,
executive vice president of services and chief customer advocate for
Sun Microsystems Inc. (NYSE: SUN).
Peterson retired in 2005 after seventeen years with Sun. Peterson
currently serves on the board of Supervalu (NYSE: SVU), Ansell, and the
Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford. She previously served
on the board of trustees of Kettering University.
Prior to joining Sun Microsystems, Peterson worked as a management
consultant at Booz, Allen and Hamilton and in various marketing,
financial and engineering positions with Saturn Corporation and various
General Motors divisions.
Louisville, Kentucky-based Humana is a health and supplemental benefits
firm with around 11.5 million medical members.
