--PPG Industries appointed Steve T. Lampe vice president, purchasing and distribution.
Banking and Finance
--Charles G. Urtin, vice chairman of the S&T Bancorp Inc. board of directors, was inducted into the Pennsylvania Bankers Association's 40-Year Club, in recognition of his 41 years of service to the banking industry.
Legal
--Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC added Charles L. Potter Jr. to the firm's tax section. Potter joins the firm as a shareholder and, in addition to his tax practice, will focus on matters relating to the energy, utility, and oil and gas industries.
--Nancy Heilman, a director with Cohen & Grigsby and a member of the labor & employment and litigation practice groups in the firm's Pittsburgh office, was elected to the board of governors for the Allegheny County Bar Association.
--Robert J. Ridge and Jerri A. Ryan, both partners in the commercial and corporate litigation practice group at Thorp Reed & Armstrong LLP, were elected to the judiciary committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association.
