Panasonic Unveils Latest Intelligent Security SurveillanceTechnology at ISC West 2015


Panasonic (News - Alert) System Communications Company of North America, a leading provider of integrated video surveillance systems, today showcased new additions to its expansive Intelligent Security solutions portfolio at the International Security Conference & Exposition 2015 (ISC West) taking place April 15-17 in Las Vegas. Panasonic's booth (#14039) features a comprehensive set of surveillance products and technologies designed to capture, record, control and analyze surveillance video and audio, enabling security professionals to maximize their surveillance investment and higher efficiencies from their surveillance platform to meet the increasing demands more effective security.

Panasonic's booth will showcase a wide variety of products and solutions, including:

Distribution of Video Insight VMS Software: Earlier this year, Panasonic acquired Houston, TX-based Video Insight, Inc., a leading developer of video management software (VMS) used for video surveillance. Video Insight-now a member company of the Panasonic Group-provides enterprise-class video management solutions to more than 5,000 schools and campuses and 25,000 customers in the financial, government, retail, and transportation sectors. Marrying Video Insights' video management software with Panasonic's full line of video management solutions provides Panasonic customers with an expanded offering of powerful hardware and software based recording options while providing deep compatibility with third-party hardware and access control systems for maximum choice and flexibility. The new VMS software package supported on Windows, Mac OS and mobile clients will be available in May through authorized Panasonic resellers. In addition, free camera licenses will be included with new model Panasonic IP cameras (specific models TBA) enabling a highly capable and cost effective end-to-end video surveillance solution.

True 4K Cameras: Panasonic's True 4K cameras include an outdoor vandal dome (WV-SFV781L) and outdoor vandal fixed (WV-SPV781L) delivering True 4K resolution, True 4K optics and True 4K wide coverage for unmatched image quality. Built on Panasonic's high performance imaging platform, the True 4K line-up features a highly responsive 12 megapixel 4K ULTRA HD sensor that produces a 12MP image at 15fps and a 4K2K image at 30fps for incredibly high resolution at standard frame rates. The enhanced resolution of True 4K can cover a four times wider view compared to a 1080p full HD camera and set a new standard for low-light performance, offering high-sensitivity in color at less than 0.3 lux and a built-in SmartIR-LED maintains performance in 0 lux environments. The cameras are edge recording ready with an SDXC memory card slot. The WV-SFV781L and the WV-SPV781L will be available in May and July respectively through authorized Panasonic resellers.

ULTRA 360 Camera with Advanced Analytics: Introduced at ASIS 2014, Panasonic's ULTRA 360 camera will be demonstrated with advanced business intelligence capabilities such as heat mapping, people counting and moving object removal, the ULTRA 360 panoramic indoor (WV-SFN480) and outdoor IP66 rated weather and vandal-resistant (WV-SFV481) fixed dome cameras are built on Panasonic's 12 MP 4K ULTRA HD engine-offering strikingly clear images, multiple transmission modes for versatile monitoring of wide areas and more effective surveillance. The ULTRA 360 doubles the resolution of previous generation 360 cameras, producing a 9MP 3K x 3K Fisheye image at 15fps and a 4MP Fish-eye image at 30fps via H.264 for incredibly high resolution at standard frame rates. The WV-SFV481 and WV-SFN480 are available now through authorized Panasonic resellers.

5 Series Fixed Dome Cameras: The new 5 Series Fixed Dome Cameras include the Outdoor Vandal Resistant Dome (WV-SFV531); Indor Vandal Resistant Dome (WV-SFR531); Indoor Dome (WV-SFN531) and Indoor Fixed (WV-SPN531). Delivering advanced features such as 133dB Enhanced Super Dynamic Range, 0.07 lux high-sensitivity for color images; and day/night functionality with a built-in removable infrared (IR) cut filter, Panasonic's new 5 Series Dome and Fixed Network cameras provide Full HD 1080p resolution at up to 60fps for high-performance and exceptional value. The WV-SFV531 outdoor cameras are IP66, NEMA 4X and IK10 weather and impact resistant while the WV-SFR531 indoor cameras are IK10-rated impact resistance. The WV-SFV531, WV-SFR531, and WV-SFN531 will be available in June 2015. Additional 5 Series cameras and optional accessories are slated for introduction throughout 2015.



3 Series Indoor and Outdoor PTZ Cameras: The WV-SC387 indoor and WV-SW397A outdoor PTZ cameras join Panasonic's 3 Series camera line, delivering outstanding high-definition video performance at a mid-level price point. The WV-SC387 and WV-SW397A cameras deliver HD 720p resolution video images at 30fps. As with all 3 Series cameras, the WV-SC387 and WV-SW397A cameras offer increased light sensitivity producing color images in 0.3 lux environments and include Multi-process Noise Reduction (MNR) and Super Chroma Compensation (SCC) technologies as standard features. This ensures bright and dark image areas are reproduced accurately with minimal video noise and accurate color even under low illumination. 3 Series models can encode up to four H.264 streams and up to six JPEG streams, greatly increasing recording, viewing and mobile streaming options and the SDXC memory slot doubles edge recording capacity. The WV-SC387 and WV-SW397A cameras are slated for introduction in June 2015.

WV-SF448 Privacy-Ready Camera: The new WV-SF448 Full HD 1080p network camera is the latest addition to Panasonic's popular i-PRO SmartHD 360° Network Cameras line. The WV-SF448 features an opaque eyelid called a Privacy Mode that can be closed to provide the appropriate level of privacy needed in hospitals, schools or other specialized applications. In these special circumstances, where surveillance needs must be balanced with privacy requirements, Panasonic's WV-SF448 enables video capture and recording to be completely obscured. As with all the i-PRO SmartHD 360° Network Cameras, the WV-SF448 is equipped with a 3.1 megapixel high sensitivity MOS sensor, creating high resolution 3 megapixel JPEG (2048 x 1536) and Panasonic high profile H.264 compression Full HD (1920 x 1080) 30fps images to meet a wide range of surveillance requirements. The WV-SF448 is available now through authorized Panasonic resellers.


WV-ASF900 FacePro™ Facial Search and Recognition System: Providing advanced age and gender analytics reporting as well as the ability to set flexible alarm triggers on matches using live cameras, Panasonic's server-based facial recognition and matching platform enables high-speed facial search and improved matching capabilities on video from Panasonic i-PRO Cameras utilizing the Best Shot/Face Detection option. With new software enhancements, the WV-ASF900 FacePro Facial Search and Recognition System delivers high-speed, high-capacity face search capabilities while dramatically reducing server-processing loads and lowering overall system impact to the network. Boasting real-time face matching capable of supporting up to 20 cameras per server, FacePro can execute high-speed searches of up to 5,000 "known" registered faces on both live and recorded video. Each server can store 10 million detected face images depending on the configuration. The FacePro server-based facial recognition and matching platform is ideal for campus environments, airport, and transit/public safety applications and will be available in May through authorized Panasonic resellers.

Transit Surveillance Solution: The ruggedized multi-channel mobile transit surveillance video recorder solution (WV-SW155 and WV-SW158 compact dome network cameras, mobile network recorder, and optional WV-SW458 360° network camera) is supported by an Intel (News - Alert)® Core™ i7 based Platform with integrated 4-port PoE switch and wide DC input range (9V-36V). The solution supports up to 16 IP network cameras with dual 2.5" storage bays and optional external MIC support. The WV-SW155 (720p), WV-SW158 (1080p) with built-in microphone, and optional WV-SW458 (1080p) vandal resistant cameras feature H.264 streams, up to 30fps, a built-in SD Card (News - Alert) slot for edge recording and are IP66 AND EN50155 rated, making them ideal for interior transportation applications. The platform specifications confirm to most major third-party VMS software requirements and is available now through authorized Panasonic resellers.

WV-SMR10 i-PRO SmartHD Network Microphone: The WV-SMR10 Network Microphone and the WV-SMR10N3 Network Microphone Kit with advanced microphone hardware technology and proprietary digital signal processing algorithm enable audio noise cancellation and sound isolation of selected video regions, even in noisy environments. The WV-SMR10 16-microphone is custom fitted to Panasonic's 360° camera (WV-SF438) and can be used for live monitoring or for forensic monitoring of recordings made with the platform-even in noisy environments-making it ideal for unique applications such as classrooms, or interrogation rooms and in a variety of other educational, criminal justice and law enforcement environments. The new IK10-rated impact-resistant WV-SMR10 Network Microphone as well as the popular 360° Network Camera (WV-SF438) are available in May through authorized Panasonic resellers.
