Panasonic Completes New Phone Interoperability Testing with BroadSoft

Panasonic (News - Alert), a leading provider of business telephone systems1, announced today that its latest UTG Series of SIP-based telephones, the KX-UTG200B and KX-UTG300B, have successfully completed interoperability testing with BroadSoft's (News - Alert) BroadWorks platform, enhancing the devices with a recognition that signals interoperability with BroadWorks. Hosted cloud service providers using the BroadSoft BroadWorks platform can now take advantage of the BroadWorks feature-rich platform on Panasonic's KX-UTG200B and KX-UTG300B phones. BroadSoft's BroadWorks enables service providers to offer a comprehensive range of consumer and business Unified Communications (News - Alert), including voice, video, instant messaging, desktop sharing, file share and video, from a single telephony application server.

Panasonic's new SIP phones passed a variety of rigorous interoperability tests including basic functionality, advanced calling features, scalability and reliability. These new SIP phones are designed to support business-class services delivered by a hosted service provider requiring no platform hardware investment and can be configured and set-up to run services on an internal hardware platform.
