Optus switches on 4G sites for customers in Adelaide

Dec 28, 2012 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- SingTel Optus Pty Limited, a telecommunications company in Australia, has announced that it has switched on the 4G sites for customers in Adelaide.

"Adelaide customers can now experience the superfast Optus 4G network when sharing photos and videos with their friends and family, posting updates to social media or finishing off the Christmas to-do list with a little last minute online shopping," Mr Ottendorfer said.

"2012 has seen Optus undertake one of the largest ever network expansion programmes for our customers with the launch of 4G services in Newcastle, Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Perth and Melbourne." Optus customers on the 3G network in Adelaide will also experience enhanced coverage in 2013 with an upgrade programme designed to bring faster 3G speeds and better indoor reception to more customers than ever before.

Optus 4G is live in selected areas of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Perth, Adelaide CBD and the Greater Newcastle and Hunter regions, and will be extending to other major metropolitan areas as Optus 4G is progressively introduced throughout the mobile network.
