Open Solutions Alliance Debuts New Showcase At LinuxWorld

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. --(Business Wire)-- IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows and events around the globe has announced that the recently formed Open Solutions Alliance will anchor their presence at LinuxWorld Conference & Expo(R) by presenting attendees with The Open Solutions Alliance Interoperability Showcase. This new attraction will feature several live demonstrations of integrated applications that will show attendees how industry-leading vendors and communities are working together to speed the creating and adoption of integrated, interoperable open solutions for business customers. LinuxWorld Conference & Expo San Francisco, the largest and most comprehensive event that focuses exclusively Linux and open source, is scheduled to take place August 6-9, 2007 at the Moscone Center.

Open Solutions Alliance was formed in February 2007 to drive the adoption and interoperability of enterprise class open business solutions. Since its launch, the organization has grown into a broad organization of over 20 member companies covering a broad array of application and infrastructure functionality, and an equally broad array of product, support, services and community development business models.

"The Open Solutions Alliance has grown quickly in a relatively short amount of time, with many thought-leading members contributing to a variety of interoperability, community development and customer outreach activities," said Dominic Sartorio, president of the Open Solutions Alliance. "Our Interoperability Showcase at this summer's LinuxWorld(R) represents a culmination of several interoperability projects we have been working on. We're delighted to partner with IDG World Expo in presenting this work to the broader community at LinuxWorld."

Several of the founding members of OSA will be featured in the Open Solutions Alliance Interoperability Showcase including Centric CRM, JasperSoft, Openbravo, SpikeSource, Talend, and Unisys. Additional members include Adaptive Planning, Black Duck Software, CollabNet, EnterpriseDB, Groundwork, Hyperic, Mambo Foundation, Onepoint, Palamida, Project.net, SourceForge.net(R), and the Open Source Technology Alliance.

LinuxWorld is the premier event for the Linux and open source community, bringing together industry leaders shaping the future of new enterprise technology in the largest single gathering of business and technical leaders deploying Linux and open source solutions.

Attendees can register for a free exhibit hall pass to LinuxWorld Conference & Expo on or before August 5, 2007 at www.linuxworldexpo.com/register. Exhibit hall passes are $50 thereafter. The pass provides attendees with access to the keynote addresses, feature presentations, birds-of-a-feather meetings and the exhibit hall floor.
