Oklahoma Food EventsJun 17, 2009 (The Oklahoman - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- Ada air show to include two barbecue cook-offs ADA -- The Ada Air Expo & Pigs Can Fly BBQ Contest will be Friday and Saturday at the Ada Municipal Airport. This annual fly-in and air show will feature World War II warbirds and other special-interest aircraft, a display of aerobatics and a state championship Pigs Can Fly barbecue cook-off sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society. Also, the Backyard Piggy's BBQ Contest will give beginning barbecue purveyors a chance to compete for cash prizes and bragging rights. Festivities begin at 3 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday. Other happenings --PONCA CITY -- The annual Juneteenth Celebration is Friday and Saturday at Attucks Park. Friday's festivities will include a night of blues and barbecue.
