Officials claim killing 12 Taliban in Wardak

KABUL, Nov 14, 2008 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) --
12 Taliban fighters have been killed and 20 other injured in Syedabad district of central Maidan Wardak province, officials claimed on Friday.

Adam Khan Seerat, spokesman for Wardak governor told Pajhwok Afghan News that the hideouts of these Taliban were bombed last night in the Hafth Asiab area.

He said a Taliban commander Mulla Abdullah was also injured in the bombing while no casualties were inflicted on civilians.



Taliban said three of their fighters were killed in the attack.
Zabihullah Mujahid told this news agency from an undisclosed location that several military vehicles were destroyed by Taliban fighters and all the onboard passengers were being killed.
