Oberthur Technologies Demonstrates Visual Voicemail Service Using a Multimedia SIM Card
PARIS, November 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Oberthur Technologies, the world's second largest provider of smart cards, and Telefonica Spain, one of the leading telecommunications operators in the world, will demonstrate, a Visual Voicemail Service running on Oberthur Technologies' Multimedia SIM Card GIGANTIC WUAOW during the CARTES & Identification 2009 exhibition in Paris.
The Visual Voicemail Service for mobile phones is what e-mail is to computers. By taking advantage of the multimedia capacities of the GIGANTIC WUAOW SIM card, subscribers have the freedom to play voicemails in any order, listen to a message only partially, or use details such as phone numbers in utmost simplicity from a list displayed on the screen of their handsets. In addition, subscribers can also store voice messages with no time limitation due to the mass storage capacity of the GIGANTIC WUAOW SIM card.
