NS POWER AND UNION REACH AGREEMENT


(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 02 September 2014 Release date- 29082014 - HALIFAX, NS - Nova Scotia Power and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers have reached an agreement that will provide further job stability for employees and long-term, sustainable cost savings for customers.



In July, the union and its executive board agreed to present a tentative agreement to its membership. Members were then provided the opportunity to vote on the tentative agreement, which concluded today with a majority vote in favour of accepting the agreement.

'The ratified agreement will result in long term cost savings, while also providing further security for our employees in the years to come.'
