NORWAY : STATOIL selects HCL Technologies [TendersInfo (India)]
(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Statoil has chosen HCL Technologies for strategic infrastructure management services. This deal win supports HCL's dominance in the Nordic area's IT services market where it is already the international partner of choice for numerous leading worldwide firms like Nokia, Danfoss and Electrolux in the region. The firm will moreover open a delivery centre in Stavanger, Norway to service Statoil, in line with its model of Glocal Centers of Excellence.
HCL will provide services in 36 countries managing the end to end monitoring and management of Statoil's complete IT infrastructure throughout all worldwide sites comprising offshore production sites. The appointment comprises managing Compute, Storage, Database and Telecom (network & security) environments together with desktop support.
