North American Leader ADF Selects Vision Net for Voice and Internet Solution

GREAT FALLS, Mont. --(Business Wire)--

Vision Net, a Montana-based communications technology solutions provider, announced today that it was chosen by ADF Group Inc. to provide voice, Internet and data services at the company's new facility in Great Falls, Mont. Based in Quebec, ADF is the North American leader in the design and engineering of connections, fabrication and installation of complex steel structures, heavy steel built-ups, and in miscellaneous and architectural metals for the nonresidential construction industry.

ADF's new steel fabrication unit is located about 3 miles outside Great Falls in an area that lacks fiber and other communications systems. The company chose Vision Net, Montana's leading service provider, following a competitive earch process whereby it sought to find a solutions provider capable of "connecting" the new facility quickly and cost-effectively.

According to ADF Group General Manager Dan Rooney, the microwave solution offered by Vision Net met all requirements while staying within budget. "We knew that laying fiber to our location would be costly and time-intensive. Vision Net came in, analyzed the situation, then worked with us to develop a comprehensive and economical solution," he said. "There was no down time and no business loss."

The microwave solution enabled temporary Wi-Fi for the construction trailer and voice over Internet protocol (VoIP), hardware for the phone system, and Internet for the now-up-and-running permanent facility.

Vision Net Senior Account Manager Bill Baillie said the microwave communications solution was ideal given ADF's location. "A dedicated microwave link is cost-effective, secure and dependable. It's also something we can have up and running fairly quickly," he said.

Nick Schlueter, Vision Net Manager Product Development & Marketing, added that time is often of the essence when considering communications protocols. "Like ADF, more companies are working across states, regions, even countries," he said. "Dependable phone and Internet access directly impacts the bottom line. We were pleased to work with ADF Group on the implementation of their microwave solution."

For Rooney, the relationship with Vision Net was about more than simply connectivity. "Vision Net has been with us from day one and is still with us, lending support and advice whenever and wherever," he said. "It's really been a great partnership."
