Norristown double murder suspect in custody

Jul 17, 2012 (The Morning Call - McClatchy-Tribune Information Services via COMTEX) -- A reputed Bloods gang member wanted in the fatal stabbing of a Norristown man and his girlfriend in a robbery last month that netted $75 for a pawned laptop computer was found hiding under a cardboard box in the basement of his mother's North New Jersey home, authorities said.

Luckenson "Lou" Desrivieres, 24, of Norristown, was taken into custody last week by members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force at his mother's Irvington, N.J., home. He was returned to Montgomery County over the weekend and arraigned on charges of two counts of murder and one count each of robbery, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, receiving stolen property, possessing instruments of crime and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman and Norristown Police Chief Russell J. Bruno issued a joint news release Monday to announce the capture and arrest of Desrivieres in the double homicide of Marc W. Estiverne, 23, and Shamara Hill, 26. The two were found stabbed to death in a bedroom they rented at 1218 Arch St. in Norristown June 17.

Desrivieres also rented a room in the same building, authorities said. After their deaths, authorities said Desrivieres was seen in possession of a backpack, a cell phone and a laptop computer that belonged to Estiverne, and Desrivieres pawned the laptop computer for $75.

According to the news release, the investigation revealed Desrivieres borrowed $20 to purchase a one-way ticket to Newark, N.J. four days after the murders. The news release also noted Desrivieres had cut his hair in an attempt to disguise himself.
