Nokia Announced Cutting 330 R&D Jobs In Denmark, Finland (NOK)

Nov 22, 2009 (SmarTrend(R) News Watch via COMTEX) -- 11/22/2009 - Nokia announced that it would cut 330 research and development jobs in Finland and Denmark, according to a FierceWireless report. The company has been eliminating jobs across the board this year in cost-cutting efforts and a spokesman told Reuters that the handset maker is also looking to launch fewer phones in order to focus on more iconic phones. Nokia has already cut 3,700 jobs this year and instituted a cost-cutting program in order to save $1 billion in expenses.
