NexHorizon Beta Testing Digital Video System In California

Jun 12, 2009 (FinancialWire via COMTEX) -- (Comment on this article at http://www.financialwire.net/2009/06/12/nexhorizon-beta-testing-digital-video-system-in-california/) June 12, 2009 (FinancialWire) -- NexHorizon Communications, Inc. (OTC: NXHZ) said it will beta test the Drake Digital Freedom System in its Chula Vista and National City, California cable markets. Drake and NexHorizon will conduct field trials of the digital video system over the next three months.

The Drake Digital Freedom System provides up to 250 digital channels, including 25 HD channels, at a price point that allows the company to offer a competitive service. NexHorizon will use Drake's HDDS24 digital set-top box, which provides customers with true high definition video and Dolby Digital audio for a state-of-the-art entertainment experience.

"The Drake Digital Freedom Solution is perfectly in line with the strategic direction of the company. Over the past several months, management has looked at alternative solutions to bringing digital and HD video services to our customers in the Chula Vista and National City, California communities. This will round out our bundled service offerings and enable the company to provide various levels of service including a low cost analog tier. Together with our previously announced upgrades of High-speed internet and VoIP telephone service the company will complete our upgrade to True Triple-Play digital broadband solution," said Calvin D. Smiley, Sr., NexHorizon Communications CEO.

NexHorizon Communications, Inc. is focused on delivering broadband solutions to rural communities through strategic acquisitions and mergers.
