During that time they gathered information from various teachers through personal development training, as well as students through hands on instruction with learners as young as five to high school aged teens. Their most recent workshop tasked a group of 12-13 year old students to 3D model pyramids. What the ScratchyCAD team found was not only did the students learn the basics of geometry and three dimensional coordinates, but by having the freedom to design the pyramid their way, the students engaged deeper by researching how the pyramids were made, what materials were used, and even how cultural differences could have influenced the shape and function of the space.
