New IncrediBuild Version 5.5 Adds More Acceleration Capabilities to its Visual Studio Acceleration Solution

(M2 PressWIRE Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) Tel Aviv, Israel -- IncrediBuild version 5.5 makes all versions of Visual Studio faster. The larger the project, the more accelerated the performance. Meanwhile, a new IncrediBuild algorithm in beta uses predictive execution to increase the throughput of Visual Studio. IncrediBuild has also added support for Visual Studio updates 1 and 2 RC.

"Delivery cycles are getting tighter and tighter," says Eyal Maor, CEO of IncrediBuild. "Most development occurs in agile environments, so speed is of the essence. Developers need to keep up with the pace of daily builds to ensure projects don't fall behind." The essence of IncrediBuild has always been accelerating build processes. With the new version, the more source code files in the project, the faster the speed. Compilation projects greater than 1,000 files will experience exceptional size-performance ratios. Testing-related processes will be shorter and enable agile performance to really scale to its intended performance.

IncrediBuild makes continuous delivery (CD) happen at an even faster rate. IncrediBuild builds a virtual supercomputer out of every developer and build server machines to accelerate code compilation, testing, packaging, rendering, code conversion and many other compute-intensive development processes. IncrediBuild scales to accelerate all your continuous integration (CI) processes, delivering increased performance across every task in application lifecycle management (ALM).

The underlying technology is based on process virtualization, which distributes processing tasks among unused or underused processing resources across the network, no matter the infrastructure - local machines, data center, or public, private, or hybrid cloud environments.

Version 5.5 includes a beta of the IncrediBuild predictive execution mechanism, which analyzes code files. All files without dependencies are automatically executed in parallel, even if VS would assign sequential processing, further accelerating throughput.

Other additions to IncrediBuild 5.5 include full support of Windows 8.1 updates, certification of XBoxOne's April 2014 release of XDK, and added support of the latest CygWin framework (August 2013 version).

Upgrading to 5.5 does not require a new license; users simply need to download the new agents and solution files and can immediately get started.

"Time to market is critical in today's 'apps race,'" continued Maor. "Our clients need their build processes to have happened yesterday. While we can't actually turn back time, we're doing what we can to use it more effectively." About IncrediBuild IncrediBuild, developed by Xoreax Ltd., is a leading solution provider of software development and continuous delivery (CD) acceleration technology. Harnessing unutilized processing power across networks, IncrediBuild speeds the code build and other compute intensive processes as part of the overall continuous integration (CI) and application life cycle management (ALM) processes. With its unique process virtualization technology, IncrediBuild has become the de facto standard solution for development acceleration on the Windows platform. More than 100,000 users at over 2,000 companies and organizations depend on IncrediBuild, including 20 Fortune 100 companies. www.incredibuild.com.
