MoneyGram adds PFG Money to agent network in Australia

Jan 07, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- MoneyGram, a money transfer company, has added PFG Money, a distributor of remittance services in Australia, to its agent network.

The addition of PFG Money brings the total number of MoneyGram locations in Australia to more than 1,000.

"The remittance market in Australia continues to grow with the migrant population," said Ashok Matthew, PFG Money managing director. "PFG Money applies global knowledge to our local presence, helping to make the most of the outward remittances from Australia. We currently operate in more than 250 agency outlets, and we are aiming to increase our network span to more than 2,500 outlets by 2015." "The addition of PFG Money to the MoneyGram network will help strengthen MoneyGram's position as one of the leading money transfer networks in Australia," said Robert Walls, regional director for Australia, MoneyGram. "PFG Money outlets are well located in suburbs with high ethnic populations. PFG Money's ambition to expand their network into the rural and non-urban second tier cities in Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland, will serve us well for incremental growth in 2013 and beyond." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
