Mixed trend in metal prices

Mumbai, Jan 29, 2009 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) --
A mixed trend was noticed on the non-ferrous metal market here today.
Tin, copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar and lead declined in the absence of demand from industrial users.

While, nickel, copper sheets cutting, brass utensils scrap, copper armiture and brass sheets cutting moved up owing to good industrial support.

Tin dropped by Rs 9 per kilo to Rs 726 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 735.

Copper cable scrap, copper scrap heavy, copper wire bar and lead also ended slightly lower by a rupee per kilo to Rs 213, Rs 212, Rs 241 and Rs 77 respectively.

However, nickel rose by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 685, copper sheets cutting by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 209 and brass utensils scrap by Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 160.

Copper armitire and brass sheets cutting also ended higher by a rupee per kilo to Rs 210 and Rs 162 respectively.
