Minister of Internal Affairs relieved of his post

? The Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan Orazgeldi Amanmyradov was relieved of his post and appointed head of the newly established special secondary police school of the MIA. President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov signed a decree to this effect on 29 May.
According to the head of state, the state of affairs in the MIA "not only left alot to be desired, but requires urgent, decisive intervention". He said there was reportedly an increase in the number of crimes in Turkmenistan and a growth in crime among the staff of the Interior Ministry bodies. There have also been cases of extortion, corruption among officials, collaboration between internal affairs officers and criminal elements, as well as nepotism and cronyism.
Isgender Mulikov, who held the post of Chief of the Police Department of Dashoguz province, was appointed new Minister of Internal Affairs. Under another decree of the head of state, he was awarded the special title of Lieutenant Colonel of the Police. The new Minister was tasked with correcting the deficiencies in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkmenistan in the short time.
Turkmenistan marked the Day of the internal affairs bodies on 29 May.
