The keynote speaker will be Columbia University Professor, R.A. Farrokhnia. A recipient of the Dean's Award for teaching excellence, Mr. Farrokhnia is the Executive Director at the Dean's Office of "Advanced Projects and Applied Research in Fintech." IMF Managing Director, Christine Lagarde recently stated that "we are about to see massive disruptions" with financial technology. Kayvon Pirestani, Director at Coinbase will be presenting on the global crypto-currency phenomenon. Founded in 2012, Coinbase is a digital currency wallet and platform for transacting currencies like bitcoin, ethereum and litecoin.
